Deo_RBN

Deo_RBN by Penchant Software is a Windows-mobile application that helps manage mobile supply-chain workers by incorporating a powerful suite of tools:  Real-time wireless order processing, GPS, bar-code scanning, signature capture, exception tracking, returns processing, store-and-forward, and total integration with our dispatchOffice transportation platform.

Wireless from the beginning, Deo_RBN was built to work with Windows-mobile stylus-based devices such as the Motorola/Symbol MC9000, MC70, MC35, and the Intermec CN3.  Deo gives your drivers a touch-screen based electronic manifest, provides drivers with important job information, captures both signature and typed proof of delivery, sends GPS coordinates, scans bar-codes, and even handles product returns.

The Deo_RBN software was designed to be used in conjunction with bar-code scanning.  Your drivers scan packages "On-Board" and "Delivered" and Deo will verify and cross-check each scan.  Drivers will be prompted if expected items are missing and warned if unexpected items are scanned.  All scans are sent back to dispatchOffice in real-time to create the "chain of custody" visible to all internal and external dispatchOffice users.

 The Deo_RBN software is also fully integrated with the dispatchOffice WMS (Warehouse Management System.)  Inventory ship transactions can happen automatically when items are scanned at delivery.  Important inventory features such as warehouse picks, moves, stages, and cycle counting are also handled via the Inventory menu.  

The fastest wireless communication method is automatically used: Deo uses your local WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) when employees are in the warehouse and uses the cellular based WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) when drivers are on the road.
